Children’s Farm & Outdoor Camp Educator (Summer Day Camp)

Location: Farm & Flower Field

Schedule: Summer Season | Monday–Wednesday | 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

​

Potentially afternoon shifts as well as additional days, based on the success of the program.

Position Type: Part-Time | Seasonal 

Pay Range $22-25 per hour based on experience.

Experience Required

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Children’s Farm & Outdoor Camp Educator to lead our summer day camp program on a working farm and flower field. This position is ideal for someone who loves the outdoors, enjoys hands-on learning, and has a strong background working with pre-school and school age children. This role will be responsible for planning and leading engaging, nature-based educational experiences in a small group farm setting. Leading group games, art, and farm education.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement structured, age-appropriate lessons and activities for children ages 4–10

  • Lead hands-on farm and garden-based learning experiences

  • Supervise children in outdoor environments, including flower fields and garden areas

  • Ensure a safe, positive, and engaging camp environment

  • Manage group dynamics and age-appropriate behavior

  • Communicate professionally with parents and camp leadership

  • Set up and clean up daily camp materials

  • Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with children ages 4–10

  • Strong lesson planning experience (education, recreation, camp, or related field)

  • Experience leading groups independently

  • Passion for outdoor education and nature-based learning

  • Reliable, responsible, and highly organized

  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain

  • Ability to work outdoors in summer conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous recreation day camp leader or camp counselor experience

  • Background in early childhood education, environmental education, or recreation

  • Experience with farm, garden, or outdoor programming

Additional Opportunities:

There may be additional paid opportunities to host children’s birthday parties and assist with seasonal youth workshops or special events On weekends.

We are looking for someone energetic, nurturing, creative, and confident in leading a group independently. The ideal candidate genuinely loves working with children and feels comfortable teaching in an outdoor, hands-on farm environment.

Field Manager

Part-Time Seasonal Field Manager – Flower Field/Pumpkin Patch

Schedule: Flexible | 15–25 hours/week | Seasonal (March–October)
Pay: $25–$30 per hour, based on experience
Start Date: Immediately

We're seeking an experienced Field Manager to take charge of our flower field operations through the end of October. This role is ideal for someone with previous hands-on agricultural experience, especially in planting and maintaining plants in a commercial or production setting. You’ll be responsible for keeping the field thriving and visitor ready, ensuring it’s weeded, planted, and tidy throughout the growing season. While days and hours are flexible, this is a results-driven role, you must be self-motivated and committed to completing tasks efficiently and independently. You will be working in our you-pick flower field and pumpkins patch and will likely see customers in the field, a cheery disposition and customer service skills are a must.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing daily upkeep of the flower field

  • Performing regular weed maintenance and planting tasks

  • Monitoring plant health and supporting bloom production

  • Set-up and monitoring of irrigation systems and repair

  • Delegate field assistant duties and make sure they are completed

  • Keeping the field tidy, safe, and guest-ready

  • Pest Control Management

  • Other field-related duties as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Agricultural or horticultural experience required

  • Experience with commercial planting and plant care is highly preferred

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions

  • Physically able to bend, lift, stoop, and stand for extended periods

  • Independent, reliable, and task-oriented

  • Able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision

  • Customer service skills needed, you will occasionally be customer facing

Flower Field Assistant

We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Seasonal Flower Field Assistant to help maintain our flower field through the growing season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in keeping things clean, healthy, and beautiful. This role supports the Field Manager in a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the field remains tidy, productive, and guest-ready. Days and hours are flexible, but candidates must be self-motivated and reliable in completing assigned tasks.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Hand weeding and weed management

  • Planting seeds and assisting with flower maintenance

  • Mowing, weed eating, and general groundskeeping

  • Tidying walkways and guest areas

  • Supporting prep and cleanup for you-pick days

  • Other field and maintenance duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enjoys outdoor, physical work in all weather conditions

  • Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or agriculture is a plus

Part-Time Seasonal

Are you looking for a fun, unique position where no two days are the same? Our farm-based retail business is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic team member to support multiple areas of our property during our active season.

​

This dynamic role includes greeting guests at the flower field entrance, assisting customers in our gift shop, supporting private event setup and breakdown, and learning to operate as a cashier (serving as backup to our senior cashiers). From helping guests create memorable experiences to ensuring our spaces are welcoming and organized, this position plays an important role in the daily success of our farm.

​

The ideal candidate is proactive and takes initiative, someone who notices what needs attention and handles it without being asked. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. We are looking for someone cheerful and outgoing, yet confident and firm when upholding field policies and guidelines.

​

This is a part-time, seasonal position running April through November, based on business needs and averaging approximately 8–15 hours per week, with opportunity for growth as our business continues to expand. Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays are our busiest times; therefore, weekend availability is required.

​

This role is best suited for a mature, responsible, and experienced individual who enjoys variety, teamwork, and interacting with the public. Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and lifting moderate loads, able to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time.
