FARM CAMP

Farm Camp is for children ages 6–11 who are ready to explore, create, and connect with nature in a fun  outdoor setting. Camp takes place Monday through Wednesday from 9am to 12pm in 3-day sessions at The Flower Farm, in Loomis CA. Kids will gather in the event pergola and spend time exploring the flower field and surrounding property. Each day offers a balance of hands-on activities, discovery, and play. Campers will immerse themselves in the natural environment while building curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Art 

Campers will express their creativity through farm and nature-inspired art projects. Using elements found around the farm colors, textures, and natural materials children will explore different ways to create and design. Activities encourage imagination and self-expression while helping kids connect more deeply with the environment around them. Each project is designed to be fun, relaxed, and rewarding, allowing every child to take pride in what they create.

Science

Through hands-on exploration, campers will be observing the flower field to learning about pollinators, soil, and plant life, children will engage in simple, interactive lessons that spark curiosity about the natural world. These experiences are designed to feel like play while introducing foundational concepts in a way that is easy to understand, engaging, and memorable.

Games & Exploration

Movement and play are a big part of each camp day. Campers will enjoy a variety of outdoor games and guided exploration activities that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and a sense of adventure. Whether exploring the property, participating in group games, or simply enjoying the fresh air, kids will stay active and engaged while building friendships and confidence in an open, natural setting.

Meet your Camp Guide

Jonna Vance

While teaching in a classroom, Jonna began offering outdoor classes for her students and got hooked! For the past 10 years, Jonna has worked in various child-led nature-based programs, offering children hands-on experiences and ways to investigate the world around them close up. Jonna believes a child centered, play-based model of teaching provides the best way to engage children.  In 2023, Jonna went through the UC training program and became a certified California Naturalist. When not outside, hiking or gardening with her dog, Jonna is a reading specialist and works with students of all ages.
